How to Maintain Your Self Esteem

Feeling less capable and less worthy on certain occasions should no longer be a problem after knowing these 7 helpful tips on having a better self-esteem. These tips are taken on my personal experience on how I have had a better perspective of myself.
1. REMEMBERING YOUR MILESTONES
Doing something on the first time usually is painful. We feel anxious and most of the time nervous. We should always be reminded that feeling these emotions is safe. This makes us LEARN. Emotion is an essential part of learning. So the next moment you feel these, be cool- you are actually in the learning process.
2. DO WHAT YOU LOVE
Engaging yourself on activities that fascinates you and serve you joy is one sure way to gain extra -points of confidence. Choosing things to do involves decision making and after having a choice we follow what we feel and think to be time worthy. Employing this technique let us learn the principle of valuing and sound decision making.
3. MAINTAIN A HOBBY
Maintaining a regular activity that appeals to your interest and gives a sense of fulfillment like baking, sewing, dancing, writing and even cross-road driving and it is a good source of increased self-worth. After doing such activities we feel accomplished and proud of ourselves that makes us feel better with ourselves.
4. DON'T THINK -ME!
Over thinking about you is commonly associated with low self-esteem. The fact that you sure focused on the opinion of the people around you will essentially and later on push you down because frank comments is like a suicide for some specially with people of less self confidence. As the saying goes, "Don't mind what others think about you". Be focused at all times.
5. BE CALM AND RELAX
Attending meditation classes like Yoga will set your mind on an idle state making you less vulnerable to the stresses of the world. Learning techniques on how to relax is a good life skill. It will take you farther. Relaxation teaches us the principle of taking the world's issue less tensed and cool.
6. RECALL YOUR BESTS
For some this might be hard, thinking that as of now you haven't achieved anything that you can brag with other people. Think simple! I'm saying achievements like being elected as president of an organization, writing for a local news outfit, hosting a small event, dancing Tango on school homecoming. Though you think that you CAN'T but you actually DID IT! It is a good starting point for your roster of achievements.
7. MISTAKES ARE NORMAL
Pessimism should not be included on your load of vocabulary. Remember that making mistakes are normal BUT always remember as well that you should stand and learn from what you did wrong. On the scenario that you encounter flashback on this particular mistake, try to recall what have you learned and NOT on what made you wrong. This will teach you to be optimistic at all times.
IN OTHER WORDS
These tips are a waste of time if you will not try some of it. Self-esteem is not a result of an overnight reading or workshop. It is a result of conscious effort to learn and improve yourself. Consistency in the effort to EARN confidence may take some time but it will never be a wasted effort.
